Ingredients
Legally required product and manufacturing information is an evergreen when it comes to fresh food information. Best-before dates, allergens, and the list of ingredients are compulsory information for many consumers. Their need for information is supplemented by voluntary information such as vegan or vegetarian labels.
Regional origin
"How can I enjoy my food in a more environmentally and climate-neutral way?" For many consumers, regional fresh produce is the solution. One reason is the short transport distances, another is to support producers from their region. Voluntary regional labeling provides transparent information about where animals are raised and how their meat is processed.
Organic label
Whether issued by the state or by production associations: eco-labels are a growing trend among consumers. For example, the certified EU organic label ensures that products have been produced in a controlled, ecological manner and not genetically manipulated.
Healthy diet
Good taste is not everything. Healthy nutrition is a trend. Take Germany, for instance: 91% of consumers consciously buy products without too much sugar, salt, fat, etc.* One source of information is the legally required nutritional value table.
